Topsail Hill Preserve State Park
Topsail Hill Preserve is a secluded beach area in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida that is made up of over three miles of white sand beaches, massive sand dunes, lakes, unique plant and animal life, wetlands and more. Visitors will find that Topsail Hills Preserve State Park offers numerous activities, including swimming, bicycling, rollerblading, fishing, hiking on the nature trails, bird-watching, picnicking and more. Explore the famous Topsail Hill dune which stands nearly 25 feet above sea level. Topsail Hill preserve is home to a variety of animal life, including the endangered Choctawhatchee Beach Mouse, and Topsail Hills Preserve State Park visitors are welcome to tour the natural wild plant communities, including beach dunes and pine flatwoods. Other unique areas found at Topsail Hill Preserve include the coastal dune lakes, wet prairies, and maritime hammocks.
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park also offers both freshwater fishing in numerous lakes and saltwater fishing in the gulf. A camp store offers a variety of camping items, as well as snacks and drinks.
Baytowne Wharf Hours of Operation
During the off season, retail stores are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. Retail stores are open from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm during the summer months. Restaurants and bars are open daily.
Topsail Hill Preserve Lodging
A variety of overnight accommodations are available at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, including full facility, cabin and RV camping. All bungalows are fully furnished at have a carport, full kitchen, bathroom, one bedroom, living room and utility room. Some bungalows have screened-in porches and a den and the maximum occupancy for all bungalows is four people. The swimming pool, laundry facility, clubhouse, and country store are easily accessible. Bungalows must be rented for a minimum of one week at a time and cost $575 per week. The monthly rental fee is $1,100.
For visitors interested in bringing their RV, Topsail Hills RV hookups include sewer, water, electric and cable. Heated swimming pool, shuffleboard and tennis courts and beach access point are easily accessible from the RV campground. RV hook ups are approximately $38 per night.

The park is open from 8:00 am to sundown each day of the year.
Topsail Hill Preserve Rates
The admission fee is $2 per vehicle and $1 for pedestrians, bicyclists and vehicle passengers.
Topsail Hill Preserve Location
Topsail Hill Preserve is located in Santa Rosa Beach on Route 30A approximately 10 miles east of Destin, Florida. Take Interstate 10 to Exit 14 (Defuniak Springs) and follow U.S. Highway 331 south. Travel 27 miles to U.S. Highway 98. Turn right and travel approximately 5 miles west to scenic Highway 30A. Turn left and go ¼ mile to the entrance on the right.
